High Cotton is what you get when you mix a “southern belle” with two “Norther Carpet Baggers”, and let me tell you, it’s a good thing! This country/Americana trio blends southern hospitality with honest, folksy tunes, and people are really starting to respond to their performances.  High Cotton is an acoustic trio made up of Laura and John Monk and PJ Engeman. Together they produce a pure acoustic sound that brings back old favorites and introduces new tunes. This is really live music….no drum machines, no computers! As singer-songwriters all three members bring an appreciation of all types of music to their creations….their songs touch the heartstrings as well as the funny bone! Combined with carefully selected cover tunes their music is a treat to the ear and makes you want to hang around.
